Our comprehensive Trip Kit takes care of all the guidance you will ever need on your custom, private, self-guided walking trip and comes in a 30-liter walker's daypack, perfect for your daily walks. It gives you every tool to enable you to confidently walk the trails and effortlessly stay on track. And it enables you to make the most of your off-trail activities, too.
The core items include:
IGN 1:25,000 Walking Maps
These walkers' maps, issued by France's Institut Geographique National, are your official primary source of trail guidance. Each map comes with all of your trails carefully hand marked.
walkprovence.com Trail Guides
For each of your walks you receive our proprietary walkprovence.com Trail Guide. Each Trail Guide provides easy to follow, highly detailed instructions from waypoint to waypoint on an enhanced, easily readable map. The guides are also profusely illustrated - a picture is worth a thousand words when you are trying to figure out which way to turn.
These Trail Guides, suitable for novice and expert alike, are much more detailed and comprehensive than any of the customary shorthand trail notes of other organizations, hikers' associations, or any published guides. Our Trail Guides are conveniently packed in a handy waterproof map case suitable for the trail.
Essential Provence
This is our proprietary guide book to Provence, providing detailed general information specific to your trip not found in published guides. It contains how-to chapters on walking in general, equipment considerations and suggestions, walking in Provence, food, wine, customs, and much more.
Practical Area Guides
For each of the six areas in which you may walk with us you'll receive our respective Practical Area Guide. These guides cover all the towns and villages along your walks and activity areas and contain loads of practical information on local history, sites, activities, restaurants, bistros and cafes, picnic sources, markets, opening hours, banks and ATM machines, and more. There are detailed maps of each village and town with arrival and departure routes clearly marked.
Michelin Green Guide - Provence
We also include the current edition of the Michelin Green Guide to Provence, which most closely conforms to our areas of operation and provides a wealth of general information and guidance on the area.
