Walk inn to inn without a car and enjoy the best classic trails across Provence as we transfer you between regions by private car. Start for example in the Les Alpilles region from the historic perched village of Les Baux. See the surrounding countryside with Van Gogh's eyes as you roam the ragged ridges, olive orchards and vineyards. Explore chic St Remy and Roman Glanum. Dine in some of the finest restaurants in Provence.
Then transfer to the Northern Vaucluse and hike the splendid Dentelles de Montmirail national park and the area's wine villages. Discover some of the top wines of the Southern Rhone in Gigondas, Seguret, and Beaumes de Venise, and enjoy the bustling market of ancient Vaison la Romaine.

Living at the St Paul de Mausole asylum nearby during the most productive time of his turbulent life, he painted this countryside: tortured, windblown cedars and cypresses along the twisted limestone ridges, wild skies, and in the valley tranquil vineyards and olive groves. Wine and olive oil tastings along the way. Optional post-walk St Paul de Mausole asylum and/or St Remy visit. |

Descend to the southern edge of the Dentelles into Cotes du Ventoux wine country on the way to Le Barroux. The path takes you through the varied, rolling sweet-wine country of Beaumes de Venise. Stop for wine tastings and at olive mills. Towards the end of the day a lovely Provencal castle through a gap in the woods signals the imminence of arrival in medieval Le Barroux and your comfy village B&B. Great bistro or gourmet dining. |
