A good night's sleep is the surest guarantee for a good day's walk. Where you stay is as important a part of your Provencal walking experience as your time on the trails, so we put as much effort into choosing your accommodations as we do into designing your walks. And we listen very carefully to your own requirements before making any recommendations for you.
Tranquility, provençal ambiance and impeccable service are what we look for when we do our personal inspections to select the accommodations we offer. All our accommodations have private baths and for the hot summer months, air conditioning and a pool are important considerations.
We offer a selection of both B&B's and hotels, and to make it easier for you to decide we distinguish between Classic, Superior, and Deluxe places to stay. As all our trips are custom designed you may also mix and match among the types
of accommodation to suit your personal preferences.
Classic Our classic accommodations feature simple, basic B&Bs and two star hotels. They offer good value and are ideal for walkers for whom accommodations is primarily a place to sleep. Cleanliness, private baths for every room, and Provencal ambience are our main selection criteria here. |

Superior Our superior accommodations feature high end B&Bs and three star hotels. High end B&Bs are a sumptuous experience, and perhaps the best value in accommodations in Provence today. They are often luxurious homes, impeccable farmhouse restorations, and a labor of love for their owners in pursuit of their Provencal dream. The guest rooms can be as spacious as four star hotel suites, and a lot more interesting for a fraction of the price. The three-star hotels we select require the most assessment to get right because there is great variation in quality and atmosphere in this category. |

Deluxe Provence offers a handful of world class country house hotels and chateau B&Bs where you can relax in luxurious tranquility. Here you may opt for the most sumptuous suites with private balconies and sweeping Provencal views, dine in some of the best restaurants in the South of France and indulge in soothing spa treatments between walks. Or you may find a secluded spot in a secret Provencal garden and get into that book you've been saving all year. True to their architectural character there is great variation in room types and sizes in these grand old country house hotels, plenty to choose from to fit your precise personal preferences. We've sampled most of them ourselves and will work with you closely to put you in rooms just right for you.
